Komarna

Komarna is a former fisherman's village 70 km north of Dubrovnik and 120 km south of Split. From all over the village you have a spectacular view over reefs, cliffs and small islands to The Peljesac Peninsula in the distance. The village is a unspoiled and safe. Children may run around without getting in trouble. There is no old town, just tidy modern houses and sand and pebble beaches. In Komarna you can find a lot of apartments and rooms in private accommodation.

The holiday resort Klek is only three kilometres to the south and here you can find a more organised tourism. A further five kilometres will take you to Neum, the only seaside town in Bosnia-Hercegovina where there is several big shops and hotels.

In Klek and Neum there is a selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Klek is open from April to October and in Neum you will find restaurants, shops and department stores open all year.

The cities of Klek, Neum, Opuzen and Metkovic are close by. Further away is Dubrovnik and Mostar, and even Sarajevo and Split may be reached in a day-trip.
